The example speeches are cringe-makingly awful, and the example jokes range from outrageously inappropiate to bafflingly unfunny, through just plain corny. Many of them I would feel uncomfortable making in mixed company, let alone at my wedding (and I'm no prude). After a couple of hours reading this entertaining and helpful book, I was ready to start putting my speech together with confidence and optimism that I didn't have before.
